Both the 7th and 8th graders had end of the Trimester projects due this week. The 6th graders did not receive a project this trimester. The 8th graders are turning in a scaled solar system project based on a rubric that was given to them a week ago. The 7th graders will be working and turning in an infographic poster based on fossil stations we experienced last week. Students were given a rubric to follow to complete this assignment.

Each middle school class will take an end of trimester test in Science this week. About midweek, students will make a study guide in class and then use this study guide for a review game in class. On Friday, the 6th, 7th and 8th graders will take a test for their grade level pertaining to the knowledge and topics covered this past trimester.
All middle school classes will be taking a test this Friday on all the knowledge they have learned so far about their essential question for this part of the trimester. Tests will include questions about the following topics:

Parents, if you have any questions, comments or concerns about your students exploring "thinking like engineers"
Today, all students from 3rd through 8th grade participated in a fun experiment called Save Fred! With this experiment, the students explored using the Scientific Method to save a worm who had capsized his boat. Using only paper clips as tools, students had to work cooperatively to put a life preserver around the worm. Ask your student about this unusual experiment today! Pictures will be posted soon.
